Atomic Backland 89 SL
Light on the climb, strong on the descent and versatile enough for a wide range of touring terrain: the Atomic Backland 89 SL is made for ski tourers who want to save weight uphill while still enjoying stability, float and control on the way down. With its 89 mm waist width, it offers a balanced platform for powder, changing snow and demanding descents.
The All-Terrain Profile combines wood and fiberglass in a targeted way to keep the ski efficient on the climb while adding performance on the descent. The HRZN 3D Backland tip is made from thin, lightweight and perforated material, increasing surface area in the front of the ski to support better float and easier handling in variable snow conditions.
The Ultra Light Woodcore made from poplar and caruba wood keeps weight very low while maintaining strong performance. The ultra-light Carbon Backbone stabilises the ski from tip to tail and adds stiffness, agility and control. Fiberglass layers, Dura Cap Sidewall, Directional Shape, All Mountain Rocker 15/85/0 and a premium Glossy Topsheet complete the construction.
A light and powerful all-round touring ski for ambitious ski tourers – efficient on the climb, stable on the descent and ready for every terrain.
