ASSEMBLY OF THE ATTACHMENTS

How much does it cost to fit the bindings?
NOTHING! The mounting of bindings is always included in the price. Of course, you can also select the "unmounted" option.

How long does assembly take?
If the bindings and skis are in stock, delivery will not be delayed due to assembly.

Are the attachments adjustable?
NO! We only carry out a PRESET! Before use, we strongly recommend having the Z value of the bindings adjusted by a specialist shop using the appropriate adjustment device, so that they release correctly in the event of a fall.

To fit the bindings, we need the length of the sole of your ski boots. Where can we find this?
Almost all manufacturers indicate the length of ski boots in millimetres (XXX mm) on the side or bottom of the sole. If this is not the case, please measure it yourself. Please note: do not confuse this measurement with the Mondopoint size!

What effect does the mounting point of the binding have on the ski?
Virtually every ski has a designated mounting point, which is usually aligned with the centre of the ski boot. The following applies in particular to park & pipe and freeride skis: the binding can also be mounted further forward or further back. It should be noted that mounting the binding further forward increases the manoeuvrability of the ski. The turn becomes more dynamic.
A mounting point behind the specified point, on the other hand, makes the ski more stable at high speeds and offers advantages in fresh snow.

How is the assembly carried out?
The assembly is carried out by our expert ski fitters.

What widths of stoppers?
When purchasing a set of skis, we use stoppers that are suitable for the width of the skis.

Special mounting points and their meaning:
When ordering, you can choose from the mounting points listed below:

Information about the different mounting points for freeskiing

● "Park & Pipe" mounting point (manufacturer's recommendation)
We mount the binding according to the "Park & Pipe" recommendation of the respective ski manufacturer. If not available, in the centre of the ski.

● "Centre" mounting point
Unless specified by the manufacturer, we mount the binding with the centre of the boot halfway between the tip and tail of the ski.

● "Allround" mounting point (manufacturer's recommendation)
We mount the binding on the "Recommended/Team/Factory" mounting point. This is located between "Park & Pipe" and "Freeride". For skiers who also want to ski/land in "switch" with their freeride skis.

● "Freeride" mounting point (manufacturer's recommendation)
We mount the binding at the rearmost mounting point indicated by the ski manufacturer in the direction of the ski tail.

● Mounting point for "Freeride Shizo" (Marker Shizo bindings)
We mount your Marker Shizo bindings so that the binding adjustment range from the ski manufacturer's Freeride mounting point extends 60 mm forward towards the centre of the ski.

You can, of course, indicate your personal assembly requirements in the 'Custom assembly' text field.

● Mounting point for "Park & Pipe Shizo" (Marker Shizo bindings)
We mount your Marker Shizo bindings so that the binding adjustment range from the ski manufacturer's Park & Pipe mounting point (or from the centre of the ski) extends 60 mm backwards towards the tip of the ski.

You can, of course, indicate your personal assembly requirements in the 'Custom assembly' text field.

● Customised mounting point
In the "Customised mounting" text field, you can send us a customised mounting request. Please specify your request as follows: e.g.

Centre of the ski +1 cm (this would be 1 cm in front of the centre of the ski in the direction of the tip of the ski)
Centre of the ski – 3 cm (3 cm behind the centre of the ski in the direction of the tail)

Explanations:

Z value
A DIN value according to ISO 11088 is the release value for ski bindings.
The parameters body weight, height, age, length of the ski boot sole and type of skier are decisive for the determination.
