Atomic Backland 109
Big lines, deep snow and long climbs call for a ski that stays efficient uphill and truly delivers on the descent: the Atomic Backland 109 is a freeride touring ski for big-mountain skiers who want to combine maximum float, stability and low weight. With its 109 mm waist width, it feels especially at home in powder while remaining controlled and agile in changing conditions.
The FreeTour Profile uses more poplar wood and less fiberglass, metal and resin, giving the ski a balanced flex and powerful downhill performance. The lightweight HRZN 3D Backland tip, made from thin, perforated material, increases surface area in the front of the ski and supports strong float in deep snow.
The Ultra Light Woodcore made from poplar and caruba wood combines low weight with reliable stability. The Powder Rocker 25/55/20 with pronounced tip and tail rise makes steering easier and creates a playful, flowing feel in powder, chopped snow and crust. Fiberglass layers, Dura Cap Sidewall, Directional Shape and a premium Glossy Topsheet complete the durable freeride touring construction.
A big-mountain touring ski for demanding freeriders – floaty, light on the climb and built for powerful descents in deep and variable snow.
