Atomic Backland 102
For freeride tours where climbing efficiency and downhill performance matter equally, the Atomic Backland 102 delivers the right mix of lightness, float and stability. It is made for ski tourers who want to ski powerful lines in open terrain while relying on a ski that stays dependable in powder, chopped snow and demanding conditions.
The FreeTour Profile uses more poplar wood and less fiberglass to give the ski a powerful, descent-focused feel. The lightweight HRZN 3D Backland tip, made from thin and perforated material, increases surface area in the front of the ski and supports better float in deep snow as well as smoother handling in changing conditions.
The Ultra Light Woodcore made from poplar and caruba wood keeps weight low while still providing strong stability for controlled descents. The Powder Rocker 20/65/15 with raised tip and tail makes steering easier in soft snow and creates a playful, surfy feel. Fiberglass layers, Dura Cap Sidewall, Directional Shape and a premium Glossy Topsheet complete the versatile freeride touring construction.
A freeride-oriented touring ski for powerful descents in open terrain – light on the climb, floaty in powder and stable in demanding conditions.
