Black Crows Orb Freebird
The Black Crows Orb Freebird is a precise touring ski for ambitious ski tourers who refuse to compromise on downhill performance. Its fourth generation has been extensively modernized, combining lower weight with improved edge grip, greater stability and a balanced ride. With its 91 mm waist, it remains agile on the ascent while providing enough flotation for changing snow conditions.
The full paulownia wood core with fiberglass delivers low weight, balanced damping and dependable stability. Semi-cap construction with cap zones in the tip and tail reduces swing weight, while ABS sidewalls underfoot support direct power transfer. An ash reinforcement pocket beneath the binding also improves screw retention.
With its consistent 18 m radius, solid flex underfoot and progressively tuned tip and tail, the Orb Freebird feels precise, controlled and highly predictable. Its refined geometry improves grip, especially on steep slopes, making it a dependable choice for technical climbs and confident descents.
