To effectively protect alpine ski touring skins from icing and improve their gliding properties, it is essential to use a suitable skin impregnation. The risk of icing is particularly high at temperatures around freezing point, which can severely impair the functionality of the skins.

For optimum application of the skin impregnation, it should be applied to the skins at least 15 minutes before you start skiing. This gives the product sufficient time to adhere to the skin material and form a protective layer.

For the best possible performance and to ensure maximum effectiveness of the impregnation, it is advisable to leave the treatment to harden overnight. This allows the product to penetrate deep into the coat and ensures long-lasting protection and improved gliding properties on every tour.
