Top-tier carving performance – the Thunderbird R15 Plus from Blizzard combines stability, precision, and versatility in a high-performance piste ski. The TrueBlend Piste woodcore delivers a finely tuned flex – stiffer underfoot for maximum control, softer at tip and tail for smooth and fluid turns.
Thanks to Carbon Armor under the plate, the ski remains stable and composed even at high speeds. A slightly wider waist gives the R15 Plus added versatility in variable conditions, without sacrificing edge grip.
The fixed plate ensures direct power transmission and uncompromising tracking precision – ideal for ambitious carvers. Made in Austria – for all who want to push every piste day to the limit.
Ski Construction
- Trueblend Piste woodcore, Beech/Poplar – delivers strong edge grip and a smooth flex by strategically combining stiff beech underfoot with lighter poplar at tip and tail
- Double Ti – enhances dampening and torsional stiffness through two layers of Titanal, with the outer layer extending to the ski edge to absorb shocks, reduce scratches, and prevent edge chipping
- Active Carbon Armor – improves vibration absorption and control via a floating carbon plate mounted above the binding area
- Full ABS sidewall – ensures direct power transmission and reliable edge grip along the entire ski length
- P-Tex 4504 base – delivers excellent glide and high abrasion resistance thanks to a sintered high-performance polyethylene
