We have all-round skis for beginners and advanced skiers as well as for connoisseurs: These variants have a centre width of around 70 mm and are stable. They are particularly suitable for ski holidaymakers as they are considered the middle class of skis. With all-round skis, you can ski and carve on the piste at medium speed. However, these models should not be used for competitions.
If you are an advanced skier or even a professional, you can resort to all-mountain skis - here the speed can also be faster. These skis are around 75 to 95 mm wide and are therefore suitable for both piste and deep snow. The following applies here: the wider the centre width of the ski, the more resistant it is to tempo on the piste. Although the all-mountain models are somewhat slower on the piste, they are the ideal skis in changeable weather.
The following applies to both variants: the length of the skis should be around the same height +/- 5 cm. Beginners can also choose models that are 5 - 10 cm shorter - this gives them better manoeuvrability. Experienced skiers, on the other hand, can practise on skis that are 5 - 10 cm longer, as these are smoother, but less manoeuvrable.
